One island. One start line. A thousand stories waiting to unfold.
The Seagull of Cayman, an iconic 40m Feadship motor yacht, has recently been sold. The sale was facilitated by Kevin Bonnie from IYC on behalf of the seller, with Yves Di Lena of YDL Yachting Corp representing the buyer. Spaun in the Dutch yard, this classic yacht was delivered in 1980, built with a stout combination of steel and aluminium by De Voogt Naval Architects.
The Seagull of Cayman has been impeccably maintained throughout her 40-year history, manifesting in her performance and appearance. The commitment to her upkeep is evident, particularly from her substantial refits in 2006, and later a three-year refurbishment programme from 2015 to 2017. These multi-million-euro restoration efforts contributed significantly to her present-day allure, injecting new life into the yacht with zero-speed stabilisers, a complete Awlgrip paint job makeover, and a stunning interior redesign by Patrick Khayat. More recent restorations were also completed in 2025.
