Dramatic news today from the heart of the fiercely competitive world of yacht racing: Erica Lush, the American Skipper, was forced to retire from her position in the La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec during Leg 3 of the race. Sailing off the coast of Île de Ré, Lush sat in the 36th position when disaster struck, tearing her mainsail as a weather front passed in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The experienced sailor valiantly attempted to repair the damage, to no avail. With no other solution at hand that would allow her to continue racing with the damaged mainsail, withdrawal was the only course of action available for Lush. As a result, she did the only thing that was left for her: she notified Race Direction of her retirement at 6:49 a.m.

Consider this - a yacht that melds the rugged capability of an explorer yacht with the refined elegance of Italian craftsmanship. Introduce this paradox to the renowned shipyard - Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), and the result is the majestic 31-metre RJ102 explorer yacht, Mon Coeur. As the RJ Class explorer line’s smallest addition, Mon Coeur is not lightweight on features.
Designed in collaboration with Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, the yacht exemplifies striking lines that resonate with the RJ identity, conveying bold, purposeful profiles. Paszkowski elegantly intertwined a sinuous stern, subtly flared bow, and recessed windows that embody the yacht’s distinctive avant-garde look. Mon Coeur neatly packages the same commanding presence and assured ocean-readiness typically ascribed to larger yachts.
