Sanlorenzo’s Striking Entry to its SL Range: The Compact yet Expansive SL80A
Sanlorenzo, the esteemed Italian shipyard, has skilfully concocted a smaller vessel that packs the allure and spaciousness of its larger relatives. Say hello to the SL80A, a compact yet roomy newcomer into the SL series of flybridge planing yachts. Despite being a baby of the series, the SL80A sternly holds a significant place as it signifies the ‘first icon’ of the lineup. The model bestows a potent blend of proportion, balance, light, and adaptability upon the series.
The SL80A takes its bow, thanks to the years-long association with Zuccon International Project who are the masterminds behind its stylish exterior and optimally utilised interior. The yacht has struck a chord with aquatic enthusiasts, with nine units sold and three under construction, raring for water in 2027.
The stylish and clean aesthetic lines of the SL80A perfectly echo the continuity between the hull and superstructure. Space is a primary feature of the yacht, with the interior voluminous and inviting. The layout is diverse, with four cabins including a grand full-beam owner’s suite. Additional social areas extend the feel of the interiors, further inviting natural light in.
“As a part of our vision with SL80A, we strived to preserve the distinct SL language within a more compact and practical framework,” says Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project. The yacht’s design focuses on embracing an engaging interaction between light and geometry. Inside, the quality is tangible with a staircase interconnecting the saloon to the flybridge, enveloped in a warm Thai walnut wood.
The boat pulses with life, the stern cockpit casually easing towards the water, a generous bow lounge can switch from a sunbathing area to a convivial dining space. With essential specifications including a seven-meter beam and a shallow 1.9-meter draught, enriching every onboard moment, the SL80A is truly a fine example of compact mastery.
