Turkish Shipbuilders, AvA Yachts, Launch the First Model from their Amazing Kando 85 Explorer Series

Turkish shipyard AvA Yachts emerges with a pivotal innovation in marine engineering - the first unit in the Kando 85 explorer yacht series. Unveiled in the manufacturer’s facilities situated in Antalya Free Zone, the breakthrough, labelled ‘V’, is set for a series of final commissioning and sea trials prior to its scheduled handover to the owners this summer. In a streak of prestigious appearances, the yacht is expected to make impressive debuts at both the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Externally, the Kando 85 features a swim platform, built-in seating and a dining table for outdoor entertaining. A Jacuzzi also graces the foredeck. Meanwhile, the flybridge offers a grill, a bar, and a designated sunbathing space. Soft and hard features merge to create comfort and practicality in exploratory voyages.

The ambitious venture is buoyed by twin Volvo Penta D13MG 408 hp engines that position the Kando 85 to reach a top speed of 12 knots, a comfortable cruising speed of nine knots, and an impressive range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. The release of the V yacht marks the beginning of an exciting journey for AvA Yachts and its expanding portfolio of explorers. Smart Yachts, who contributed to the project’s success, look forward to the delivery of Hull Two of the Kando 85 series in the second quarter of 2027.
