Heesen's 50m Superyacht, Project Sophia, Commences Sea Trials in the North Sea, Elevating Lacustrine Luxury
There’s an electrifying update from Heesen Yachts; their 49.8-metre superyacht fondly known as Project Sophia has recently begun sea trials. She was observed departing the company’s yard at Oss, the Netherlands, marching with her head held high towards the open sea.
Completing the quartet of Heesen’s innovative 50-metre, hard-chine aluminium yacht series, Project Sophia floated for the first time in March. She is poised to inject a fresh influx into the yacht trading domain, as she’s currently listed for sale. The scheduled delivery timeline promises to yield her to the new owner before the upcoming summer.
Project Sophia’s design philosophy integrates intelligent engineering and a quest for excellence, believes Peter van der Zanden, the director of Design & Development and Engineering at Heesen. He revealed that through Sophia, their team has successfully ramped up hull efficiency by a remarkable 12 percent, translating directly into an economic fuel consumption and tranquil, pleasurable experience at sea.
Echoing the essence of its Dutch origins, Project Sophia brings together performance and opulence, reshaping the very definition of maritime luxury.
