Setting & Character
Acle Bridge is where the Bure starts to feel tidal and open, with marshes towards Great Yarmouth. It is the natural last stop before timing the run down to Yarmouth Yacht Station and Breydon Water. Acle village is about a mile inland.
Bridges & Air Draught
Acle Bridge gives 3.68 m at average high water, so most cruisers pass easily. The tide runs noticeably here — moor against the stream.
Figures are Broads Authority clearances at average high water — read the gauge boards on the day.

At Acle Bridge, high water is about 3 h 30 min after Gorleston (Broads Authority average figures).

Skipper's Notes
Quick notes before arrival.
- The tide is strong at Acle — moor bow into the stream.
- Plan your Yarmouth arrival for slack water.
- A phone number for the moorings, 01493 750972, appears on a third-party page. It does not match the pub’s own number, so we have not used it.
