Setting waves ablaze with its artistic forest green hull is Southern Wind’s sixth unit in the optimised SW96 series, christened Fortissimo. This majestic vessel sails as a symbol of nautical advancements, commissioned by a seasoned sailor with a regatta racing history.

Like its predecessors, Fortissimo’s aesthetics and exteriors are paid homage to Nauta Design with Farr Yacht Design steering the ship of its naval architecture. However, this vessel dares to differentiate from its sisters, Nyumba and Liberty, its metallic forest green hull leaving an indelible mark in the viewer’s memory.

Fortissimo, as her name suggests, takes inspiration from musical notation, symbolising intensity and speed. The yacht’s owner said of the vessel, ‘I am not a musician, but Fortissimo means play fast, play strong. That’s how I feel about this vessel.’ Commanding the elements with strength, the owner expressed an eager intent to sail and race the new vessel.

Geared with an additional set of winches in the aft cockpit to facilitate complex manoeuvres while racing, Fortissimo sets the stage for an unambiguous statement of offshore performance, suggesting a powerful racing intent.

Fortissimo’s layout is tailored with transatlantic aspirations. Its owner seeks to tread waters from the Mediterranean to Caribbean and North America, heralding a new era of extensive sailing adventure. Ensuring environmental compliance, it comes equipped with a selective catalytic reduction system, curbing emissions. Inside, a raised saloon configuration with panoramic windows offers a vivid outlook.

A generous accommodation for six guests spanning across three cabins, the interiors are a nod to the Southern Wind’s signature style with a modern twist.
