The Ferretti Group has succeeded in leaving a lasting impression with a series of launches stretching across the year, but it is the Ferretti 800 Flybridge that stands as the crown jewel, completing their range renewal process set in motion back in 2018.
The design of the 800 Flybridge is a tribute to the fine craftsmanship of naval architect Filippo Salvetti; bringing a fresh, sophisticated edge to Ferretti’s characteristic stateliness. The yacht exhibits larger hull windows, glossy black stanchions, glazed flybridge supports and a glass cockpit transom, all attributing to its striking impression.
The 2025 UK Flying Fifteen season offered a thrilling spectacle for sailing enthusiasts, with boats duelling for victory across variable conditions. The season was characterised by laser-thin finish lines at all five major events, further intensifying the passion and competitiveness of this thrilling racing series. Overall, a fleet of 104 boats took part in at least one championship event, including a sturdy National Championship fleet with 65 participating boats.
This year’s victors deserve heartfelt applause, with Ben McGrane securing two major titles at the Inland Championship and National Championships. Elsewhere, Steve Goacher, a former world champion, won the Northern Championship held at Windermere. Meanwhile, the Southern Championship was claimed by racing sleuth Greg Wells at Hayling Island, and Mike Preston dominated the Scottish Championship at Loch Tummel.
