Stirring waves in the world of luxury yachting, Turkey's renowned Mengi Yay shipyard has announced the sale of the first unit from its avant-garde NL Plus 52 yacht model. Currently under construction in Istanbul's high-end facilities, this sublime 52.6-metre superyacht, endearingly baptized as the project NB114, is set to chart new waters in 2027. Following this groundbreaking sale, the shipbuilder revealed that a second yacht from the same series is set to enter the construction stage, adding a thrilling sequel to this debut tale. The announcement comes less than a year after Mengi Yay showcased the concept interiors of their NL Plus 52 capsule collection, masterfully crafted by Italian designer Nuvolari Lenard.
The yacht's sundeck stands as a distinctive feature. Reputed as 'one of the largest in this category', it boasts a tailor-made heated spa pool and a fire pit, exuding a luxurious resort-like feel. Moreover, ample storage space onboard allows cabin for a seven-meter-tender and a variety of water play items.
The NL Plus 52 truly exemplifies waterfront living. The interiors, kept casual yet sophisticated, incorporate a warm color palette and minimalist lines, coupled with fine woodwork for a versatile ambiance. Offering a tribute to the vision of Nuvolari Lenard, the yacht's interiors replicate the vitality of Mediterranean life, with expansive glass surfaces ensuring abundant natural light and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. The innovative sliding balcony, as described by Carlo Nuvolari, the naval architect and co-founder, has multiple modes. When closed, it affords a small open area that offers the joy of basking in the sea breeze or relishing the surrounding landscape. Day or night, a Mengi Yay NL Plus 52 yacht presents a one-of-a-kind experience of exclusivity and intimacy with the captivating seascapes.
