Naples will experience early excitement for the coveted America’s Cup, with the Louis Vuitton Preliminary Regatta set to dock in the city in September 2026.

The shimmering waters of Naples will see a flurry of sails come September 2026, as the city hosts the second Louis Vuitton Preliminary Regatta. This Regatta promises to be a dazzling prelude to the main event in 2027 – the 38th America’s Cup – marking the first time Italy will host this globally revered event, often regarded as the world’s oldest ongoing sporting rivalry. Naples’ selection as the host city was proudly announced during the first Louis Vuitton preliminary race in Cagliari. A successful collaboration amongst the various institutions allows for redevelopment work in the Bagnoli area, offering the participating teams a temporary accommodation at the Navy Logistics Command in Nisida. The teams will subsequently move to Bagnoli, where they will stay until 2027.
