Complementing Windy's SR Sports Line, the SR40 nestles between the Centre Console SR28 and the more significant SR44 variants, bringing together the best facets of both. More than just an in-between, this boat carves out its niche, blending elements of Windy's original Sports Cruiser Line and its SR Yacht Tenders in one mighty package. At the focus is the creation of a high-speed, go-anywhere, multi-purpose family sports boat that combines top-tier cruising facilities, a spacious day boating zone, and remarkable seagoing performance. Versatility is a key aspect of this boat, exemplified by its adaptable superstructure. It features a sliding roof, large 'disappearing' doors, and roof racks for paddleboards, fishing rods, and bikes. The aft bulkhead can be open or closed, providing an open boat or an enclosure for all-year-round recreation. This significant open deck space is a remarkable feature of SR40 design – an avant-garde design ethos that suits the modern boating lifestyle. In terms of accommodation, the SR40 offers a large sunbed at the bow and a range of other features, including joystick docking, a gyro stabiliser, sliding aft doors, lithium-ion battery bank, and extendable aft terraces. Its engine options, which include twin Volvo Penta D6-440s or triple Mercury V10 400s, offer a speed range of 42-52 knots.
