Vitters Shipyard on the Verge of Making History with the In-Build 63m Sailing Yacht, Project Dreamer
Vitters Shipyard, the famed Dutch yacht manufacturer, recently shared encouraging progress on their custom-built 63-meter sloop sailing yacht, Project Dreamer. The sailboat, which began its construction journey in Zwartsluis, the Netherlands, is six months into its initial keel laying ceremony. With an intricately designed aluminium structure, the build now stands well on its way to completion.
Owner aspirations were ambitious but clear-cut: to craft the most significant flybridge yacht possible, whilst remaining under the monolithic 500GT. The demand for a complex and sizeable build has necessitated the division of the project into several sections which were meticulously constructed in an unconventional upside-down fashion. The critical milestone set for later this year involves turning the hull of the vessel.
Steeped in the essence of maritime sophistication, the Italian shipyard Baglietto announces its most ambitious venture yet: Project Farah. Project Farah, a 50m full-custom superyacht, is a stunning representation of architectonic ingenuity and nautical luxury. The sub-500GT vessel, currently under construction at Baglietto’s facility in La Spezia, is expected to grace our seas by 2027.
A joint effort by Matheus Farah & Manoel Maia Arquitetura and Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, Project Farah’s design encapsulates the essence of a terrestrial abode on the open seas. Royal Yacht International, the owner’s representative who also closed the yacht sale in 2024, is faithfully managing the project during the construction phase. Embodying its Arabic name, ‘happiness’, Farah is designed to deliver a sailing experience brimming with joy and serenity without compromising safety and seaworthiness.
