Foiler Introduces Ghost, the Luxurious 'Flying' Yacht That's Set to Change the Course of Naval Architecture
A revolution in yacht design unfurls in the United Arab Emirates as Foiler unveils the world’s first-ever private foiling yacht platform, Ghost. This revolutionary 28-meter yacht is the fruit of a collaboration with Bozca Design, Istanbul’s leading design studio. Debuting at the prestigious Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, further revelations confirmed that Ghost’s construction will commence within 12 to 18 months, expecting a grand voyage initiation in 2029.
Ghost showcases an architectural masterpiece enveloped in a semi-customisable design that symbolises a shift into a ’new era of performance, comfort and elegance at sea.’ The UAE shipyard, ENATA, ensures the yacht’s manifestation from design to reality, signifying the pioneering spirit and the innovative drive shared by Foiler and Bozca Design.
Timur Bozca, the creative director at Bozca Design, underlines Ghost’s design philosophy, stating that each structural aesthetic decision serves functionality over decoration, emphasizing performance, reliability and clarity. Crafted meticulously using carbon fibre and titanium for a lightweight structure, Ghost is not your ordinary yacht, but a high-performance platform that can ‘fly’ about two meters above the water.
Masterfully engineered, Ghost boasts a beam of eight meters that expands to almost 20 meters with foils extended, propelling this sublime yacht to unprecedented speeds of over 40 knots, and cruising comfortably between 30-35 knots.
Ghost is a stark departure from conventional yachting experiences. To quote Alois Vieujot, CEO of ENATA Group, ‘Foiling transforms yachting,’ allowing passengers to experience a smooth, stable ride even at 40 knots. Its unparalleled serenity and comfort, along with its impressive performance, fortifies the proclamation of Ghost as the forerunner of the new age of ‘flying’ luxury yachts.
