Sail Port Stephens has unveiled exciting additions to its 2026 line-up, including new events and divisions, promising the biggest regatta in its history.

Sail Port Stephens, the annual yachting regatta attracting enthusiast from all over, has unveiled ambitious plans for its 2026 iteration. Expected to be the most grand event in the regatta’s 18-year history, organisers have planned a wealth of new events and divisions to further invigorate the competition.

The first week alone will witness over one hundred yachts navigating the shimmering waters of Port Stephens for the esteemed Commodores Cup Passage Series. However, the real jewel of the proceedings is the grand-prix 3-day regatta that forms part of the second week, infusing a dose of novelty with an Interclub teams challenge, an Australian Invitational Challenge, and a sportsboat series. Class-A boats, like the IRC and TP52s, won’t be left out either, taking part in the NSW Yachting Championship.

Alongside thrilling racing, Sail Port Stephens 2026 will be home to a buzzing race village at d’Albora Nelson Bay. Vendor stalls, children’s entertainment, and grandstand seating for the spectators promise to enhance the vibe ashore, cementing the Sail Port Stephens as an essential destination event.

Already lauded for their forward-thinking and engagement with the local community, the event’s successful expansion has been facilitated by consistent support from Destination NSW, Port Stephens Council, and Pantaenius Australia among others. With registrations now open, sailing enthusiasts are already charting their course to the grand affair.
