Heralding a New Reign: Lürssen Prepares to Debut its Grand 117m Superyacht, Boardwalk
Upon the waters of Lemwerder, Germany, Lürssen, a renowned luxury shipyard, debuts the resplendent 117-meter superyacht, Boardwalk. Commissioned by an American owner in 2022, this ship’s mysteries remain closely guarded from the public eye. However, the name provides a significant clue as it seems to be the successor to the 76.5-metre Feadship yacht called Boardwalk, which was marketed in the previous September. Before the Feadship, the owner possessed a Westport 164, also named Boardwalk, that has since been renamed Night Howl. The superyacht’s initial images highlight its sleek white profile, a majestic sight on the water’s surface. Boardwalk unfolds over six expansive decks that house two helipads, a generous beach club, and a large pool complemented by an adjacent spa pool on the aft deck - granting luxuries that ensure an exceptional on-water experience. Although the specifics of the new build are still under wraps, it is believed that the yacht prides itself on a colossal gross tonnage of 5,350GT and a sturdy suite of steel and aluminium construction. Boardwalk is set to rise in the ranks as the 20th largest yacht by length from the German shipyard, surpassing the renowned Ahpo by a mere 0.9 meters. According to BOATPro, we can anticipate Boardwalk’s delivery to happen in early 2026. Despite the curtain of secrecy, one thing remains clear - great expectations are tied with the unveiling of Lürssen’s 117-meter superyacht, Boardwalk. As the world waits with bated breath, a new era of luxury on the water seems to be on the horizon.
