Reviva Refit of Mengi Yay, the Turkish shipyard, has debuted the spruced-up Bering motor yacht B121 upon conclusion of an expansive refit.

The esteemed Turkish shipyard, Mengi Yay, through its refurbishment division Reviva Refit, has recently made waves in the yachting world by officially unveiling the impressively refitted 37.4-metre Bering motor yacht B121. Deemed Project R16, the comprehensive refit kicked off with its establishment in October 2025 and took around half a year to achieve its slated April launch. This revamp was not simply a cosmetic revamp, rather it aimed for a total structural and functional makeover, according to the team at the shipyard. A primary modification was the implementation of a two-metre hull extension. This significant procedure saw the yacht almost bisected at midship, a bold move aimed at enhancing operational capabilities whilst injecting stability and improved seakeeping prowess into the vessel. Further rebirth was given to the yacht’s beach club. Once a leisure zone graced with a sauna and gym, the space has been reincarnated into a garage designed for storage and easy access to one large tender and a couple of jet skis. Additionally, a new petrol storage area was developed following RINA Commercial Unrestricted Navigation class rules. The ceiling crane and shell door system also experienced alterations, with a fresh starboard-side shell door and an overhead lifting solution chipping in for more efficient handling of tenders and ’toys’. The refurbishment was rounded out by a classy upper deck staircase and, not to be missed, a fresh coat of paint adorning B121’s exterior. The shipyard took immense pride in the successful venture, stating ‘Not many yards in the world can execute a project of this nature — structural, regulatory and mechanical — under one roof, on one timeline’. B121, originally launched in 2024 by Bering Yachts, is scheduled for imminent delivery, signalling a successful completion of one of the most ambitiously sophisticated superyacht conversion projects undertaken in Turkey so far, and adding another feather in the cap of the Mengi Yay shipyard.
