The Astounding Feadship Superyacht, Project 826, Takes Final Voyage to Amsterdam for the Last of Construction
Pictures released by the Dutch yard Feadship showcases the impressive and elegant 80-metre superyacht, previously known as Project Thalassa, making its way to significant facilities in Amsterdam. Here, it will commence the closing stages of construction, which involves sea trials. This massive project was initially launched in April, splashing onto the scene at Feadship’s yard in Kaag. BOATPro’s insider knowledge hints at a delivery date as soon as this coming summer.
Awe-inspiring exterior design by none other than Malcolm McKeon reveals a striking low, sculpted appearance for Project 826. Inspired by dynamic sailing yachts, the superyacht presents a sharp plumb bow and a widening hull. Its delicately curved windows and sleek lines round off the aesthetically pleasing finish. While the interiors, crafted by the acclaimed Milanese studio M2Atelier, remain a closely-guarded secret, their contemporary design has been hinted at with descriptions of warmth and relaxation casually tossed our way.
From the beach club, the superyacht’s wanderlust inducing watersports area unfolds. There are also designated fitness spaces, including a yoga area and weight room both encompassing fold-out terraces. One enticing feature includes a main deck pool lounge boasting a glass-bottomed pool that absorbs all the natural light bathing the beach club below.
This pleasure palace on water redefines luxury with its transforming winter gardens, an open-planned sun deck with a minimal yet effective hardtop, circular bar, and comfortable seating area. Fancy a bit of sports action? Project 826 has got you covered with a touch-and-go helipad transformed into a pickleball court.
Hitting the waves at 16 knots max speed and capable of covering 5,500 nautical miles at 12 knots, Project 826 is a testament to marine engineering prowess. With an estimated summer delivery date, this magnificent creation is sure to make waves in the yachting world soon.
