After undergoing a massive refit, the Trimaran SVR-Lazartigue has triumphantly reclaimed its natural habitat- the sea.

The Trimaran SVR-Lazartigue, after a three-month refurbishment, has made a triumphant return to the ocean. The refit began in March and concluded this July, and the Trimaran is ready to tackle a riveting race schedule culminating with the Transat Café L’Or in October.

At the helm, seasoned skipper Tom Laperche boasts a powerhouse team that includes two top-tier additions - Franck Cammas, the co-skipper and performance director, and New Zealand’s Peter Burling, an Olympic gold medallist and America’s Cup winner. They will unite their expertise for the upcoming Rolex Fastnet Race.

The vessel embarked on a fresh adventure after returning to MerConcept’s base in Concarneau, Brittany, post the Jules Verne Trophy campaign. The journey forward involves a two-year plan leading up to the much-anticipated 2026 Route du Rhum, with a focus on double-handed racing in 2025, including the Transat Café L’Or, and a shift to solo sailing the following year.

Taking a tour de force on the vast ocean waters, the Trimaran SVR-Lazartigue buzzes with anticipation and readiness to engross itself in the captivating saga of boating races. With experienced sailors aboard, it promises to be an eventful period of thrilling marine competition.
