SpaceCat, the Boutique Yacht Featured in 'The White Lotus', Finds a New Owner
The 36m catamaran ‘SpaceCat’, crafted by Australian shipyard SilverYachts and lauded designer Espen Øeino, has found a new owner. Known for its starring role in ‘The White Lotus’, the sophisticated yacht was sold by sellers represented by Mark Woodmansey of Burgess and Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC with the buyer introduced by Della Pearce of Camper & Nicholsons.
Sporting a beam of 13.3 metres, the SpaceCat distinguishes itself with its vast living spaces spread across three spacious decks. Including more than 534 square meters of lavish living space, this superyacht boasts extraordinary volume for its size.
The sale price for this superstar yacht? A cool $15M.
A saltwater pool, chic bar, and sizable aft deck make for a delightful alfresco experience while the beach club and hydraulic swim platform ensure unobstructed access to the sea.
Powered by four 920hp Volvo Penta engines, SpaceCat is capable of reaching speeds up to 23 knots and boasts an impressive range of 3,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. It is optimally designed for island hopping with its shallow 1.8-meter draught allows easy access to secluded harbours and shallow waters. Its current location is in Thailand, where it runs an established charter program and where HBO’s popular social satire ‘The White Lotus’ was filmed.
