Sanlorenzo Prospers Amid Headwinds, Reporting Steady Growth and Record Orders for First Half of 2025
Despite a global environment fraught with trade tariff uncertainties and broader economic pressures, Sanlorenzo forged ahead in the first half of 2025, recording measurable growth bolstered by sustainable revenues and healthy margins. New yacht sales contributed significantly to the resilient performance, with revenues reaching €454.1 million, an increase of 9.4% from the same period the previous year (€415.1m). Specifically, the Superyacht and Nautor Swan Divisions provided an excellent boost, even as the Yacht Division remained stout in the segment exceeding 30 metres. Notably, H1 orders saw a significant surge, growth of a staggering 29.9% YoY to €420 million. The already sold orders contributed 93% to an order backlog amounting to €1.439 million.
Sanlorenzo’s chairman and CEO, Mr Massimo Perotti, expressed confidence in the brand’s performance. He attributed the impressive figures to the resilience of the company, the strength of the Sanlorenzo brand, and the timeless allure of its yachts. Especially buoyant was the demand for yachts of 30 metres and above, believed to be a testament to the vitality of the brand’s made-to-measure philosophy, scarcity-driven model and successful foray into sailing with Nautor Swan. With continued wealth creation among the highest wealth cohorts, Perotti sees a promising future ahead and reaffirmed the brand’s 2025 guidance.
Besides, Sanlorenzo also performed well in diverse geographic markets. Despite facing some challenging market dynamics, particularly in the segment below 24 metres length, the Bluegame Division reported a relatively resilient performance. The Yacht Division experienced mild softness below 100 feet, but the larger models demonstrated resilience. The Superyacht Division marked a 10.2% increase compared to H1 2024, generating €137.1 million, contributing 30.2% of total revenues. The Bluegame division (13–23m) reported a small downturn of 10.9% in revenues from new yachts sales compared to H1 2024, but it still outperformed the competitive sub-24m market. The Nautor Swan recorded revenues in line with the planned business development and integration.
Evidently, Sanlorenzo’s steadfast resilience and continuous drive for innovation in its offerings, even amid global headwinds, mark it as a strong contender in the ultra-luxury yacht market.
