Poole Bay 100 Offshore Powerboat

A fleet of up to Twenty Five teams from across the UK and Europe will be competing in Race Classes 1/1L/2/3 with power outputs ranging from a huge 2200 hp down to 200 hp.
The 95 and 60 mile multi-circuit format off Bournemouth beach, will see the teams pass up to four or five times which promises to be a thrilling spectacle for spectators both on Land and Sea.
With the Start line and Muster area in the vicinity of Bournemouth Pier, the teams will take the green flag at around 13:00 pm and head off in an easterly direction towards Boscombe Pier.

The first round saw a strong fleet race around the Isle of Wight with the winning boat of Gary Aldington and Tom Gardner in ‘Double Trouble’ (1-88) averaging a stunning speed of 99.35 mph. The Falmouth based Eastwood Racing Team will be one of the favourites for the top podium. Southampton based ‘Falcon- Multispark’ (1-38) driven by former Formula 2 Grand Prix driver Dean Stoneman will be hoping to reverse the ‘Round the Island’ result in his striking and very fast yellow Fountain Hull who also averaged over 94 mph at East Cowes.
