An Ocean Titan Acquired: The Understated Elegance of the 44m CMN Motor Yacht De-De Unveiled
Welcome to the most exclusive club on the seven seas. The 44-meter CMN superyacht De-De is now proudly owned by a new sea captain. The deal was brokered by Adam Levine of IYC representing the seller and Joao Kossmann of BYS International introducing the lucky buyer. This isn’t just any yacht but a floating masterpiece designed by Stirling Design International and crafted with precision by the renowned French yard in 2002.
In 2020, De-De underwent a significant transformation, completely reinventing its look and feel. She received a multimillion-euro refit including a brand-new hull paint job, bringing new life to the yacht’s exterior. Inside, guests will notice fresh carpets throughout, and those working behind the scenes will appreciate the upgraded crew areas. The majority of her technical systems were given an overhaul or service, enhancing her performance and longevity. All this for a last-known asking price of $7,990,000.
The common areas are equally impressive: the formal dining area adjacent to the main saloon seats 10, while the aft and upper decks are perfect for hosting larger parties. Fitted with potent 1,200hp Caterpillar engines, De-De offers a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at a relaxed pace of 11 knots. With Quantum zero-speed stabilisers also fitted, her promise of a smooth voyage is undoubted. So here’s to the De-De—a testament to 21st-century design and seafaring elegance.
