This old thread of maritime sophistication and luxury has found new shores to explore, with the acquisition of two classic Feadship motor yachts - the 40-metre ‘Seagull of Cayman’ and the 41.7 -metre ‘Gin Tonic’. These timeless marine icons, with their illustrious lineage and unparalleled craftsmanship, have set off on new chapters in their seafaring chronicles./n/nThe revered ‘Seagull of Cayman’ was sold, with Kevin Bonnie of International Yacht Corporation (IYC) representing the seller and Yves Di Lena of YDL Yachting Corp championing the buyer. This quintessential Dutch-build, has been the symbol of maritime magnificence since her launch in 1980. Tasked with her creation were the maestros of De Voogt Naval Architects, who skillfully wielded steel and aluminium to shape this masterpiece. Following through the years, she underwent major refits in 2006 and 2015-2017 and was last asking price was a hefty €3,200,000 with VAT delivered. She’s currently lying in the glamorous realm of Saint Tropez, France ready to unfurl her sails in pursuit of new horizons.

The other prized half of this transference rhapsody is the ‘Gin Tonic’. The auspicious occasion of her sale found David Legrand of Fraser and Ian Sherwood of Burgess orchestrating the deal. Birthed at the Dutch yard of Feadship in 1981, she is the embodiment of classic charm and timeless functionality. Receving an update recently, her interiors showcase glossed woods, plush fabrics and rich textures. She was one of three distinguished Feadships commissioned by the same owner in the 1980s. Her last known asking price was a substantial €4,500,000 (VAT Paid) while laying in Viareggio, Italy.
