Edmiston's Nathan Farrelly and Hans van Doornmalen Assume Sale Mandate for 115m Lürssen Superyacht Pelorus
The lavish 114.5-metre Pelorus, a prided product of famed shipyard, Lürssen, has had a change of central agency. Now listed for sale with the Edmiston duo: Nathan Farrelly and Hans van Doornmalen, Pelorus stands as a testimonial to the grandeur of yachting. The motor yacht, weighing a considerable 5,403GT, first skimmed the ocean’s surface in 2003, before commanding attention through its distinguished design and build team, including the illustrious trio: Tim Heywood, Terence Disdale and Lürssen. Strutting an unquestionable aura of class, she was the 11th largest yacht worldwide and a crown jewel of the German shipyard when first launched. In recognising her worth and upholding her legacy, multiple overhauls were conducted in both 2008 – with the introduction of a second helipad – and 2017. The meticulous care extended to the yacht guaranteed compliance with ABS class survey requirements through to 2025. Resultantly, Pelorus enjoys a clean status with no recommendations, boasting a survey cycle reaching till 2030. The motor yacht’s gravity-defying pricetag of €160,000,000 complements her splendid offerings. Beyond her steel hull, an additional line arching the bow adds a unique touch, resembling the “armour belt” design of the HMS Belfast docked on the Thames. The interior oozes a beach-club charm through its use of natural materials, cleverly curated by Terence Disdale. With 12 ensuite cabins, the vessel comfortably hosts 24 guests — a number that can be stretched to accommodate 36 guests with dispensation. The architectural masterstroke, a VIP cabin, and seven guest cabins featuring innovative elements like a fold-down terrace, etch memories of pure indulgence. Ensuring a seamless experience, a readily available crew of 46 stands at the guests’ disposal. A bouquet of onboard luxuries, from a wellness centre complete with a steam room and plunge pool, to the master suite offering an enchanting view of the oceanic expanse, exemplifies the divinity embodied by the Pelorus. Retaining its unquenchable allure, the superyacht Pelorus now awaits the decisive gavel strike to seal its fate under its newest central agency, Edmiston.
