Following a sensational debut in September 2025, Geneva has rapidly established itself as one of SailGP’s most compelling natural stadiums. Last year’s inaugural edition drew a sold-out crowd, with more than 8,500 ticketed fans lining the lakefront to witness F50 foiling catamarans slicing across the water at astonishing speeds. The atmosphere was electric, the racing razor-close, and the setting unforgettable — even if local hopes were dashed when the Germany SailGP Team, presented by Deutsche Bank, denied Switzerland victory on home waters.

The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race has never been a contest that ends neatly at the finish line. For all its drama offshore, the race has a long history of decisions, disputes and fine margins being settled ashore — sometimes days later, when the salt has dried and the paperwork begins.

There are yacht races, and then there is the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race — a Boxing Day institution where grit meets ocean, and fortunes are won or lost on the cruel 628-mile highway south. This year’s 80th edition was no different: a brutal opening leg out of Sydney Harbour, a tactical slug-fest across Bass Strait, and a battle down the Tasmanian coast that proved once again why this is one of sport’s toughest offshore classics.

The Rolex Admiral’s Cup fleet spent a wild second night offshore, taking on the long, punishing beat through the Celtic Sea. The wind wasn’t ferocious, but the sea state was—big Atlantic swell, relentless chop, and a hard-earned haul towards one of offshore racing’s most iconic landmarks: the Fastnet Rock. Standing 54 metres tall, forged from Cornish granite, the lighthouse marks more than just a turning point in the Rolex Fastnet Race. In its 100th edition, it’s a century-old beacon of salt, grit, and glory.
