Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) secured a remarkable victory in the Admiral’s Cup 2025, concluding an outstanding debut in the iconic race's 71-year history.

The prestigious Admiral’s Cup, dormant for more than two decades, exploded back into life in the Solent waters in the summer of 2025. When the ultimate spinnaker plummeted post the concluding Rolex Fastnet Race, it was the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) that ascended to the pinnacle, marking its inaugural appearance in the 71-year old event with an emphatic win.

This wasn’t just about showcasing skill and audacity in navigating the waters, but also about resilience and consistency. Teams comprised of a large yacht (Class 1) and a smaller yacht (Class 2), encountering some of the most formidable courses in British waters. Pierre Casiraghi, YCM’s Vice President, relished the challenge, expressing how this unique blend of offshore and inshore racing heightened the complexity and the excitement.

Having maintained their resolve, the YCM repelled shifting breezes and accumulated fatigue, demonstrating impeccable sail changes, strategic decisions and unbroken focus. When the corrected times were confirmed in Cherbourg, the team catapulted to prime position. YCM’s triumphant campaign in Admiral’s Cup was a testament to their resilience, marking a deviation from the glamor and innovation usually synonymous with the club.

More than just a regatta, the Admiral’s Cup 2025 was a breathtaking battle that united nations, clubs, and sailors in an exhilarating demonstration of maritime prowess. The event heralded a new dawn, with an arresting blend of inshore and offshore racing, reigniting its illustrious legacy infused with vitality and purpose.
