The 2025 Long Beach Olympic Classes Regatta witnessed top-drawer competition defining a week of sailing supremacy.

The Long Beach Olympic Classes Regatta made waves in Southern California as the competing sailors navigated through wind gusts and waves under sun-soaked skies. The regatta was a sight for champions with competitors delivering high-octane races that had spectators riveted to the edge of their seats.

In the 49er FX class division, the Swedish team of Vilma Bobeck, an established world-class helm and 2024 Olympic silver medalist, and Ebba Berntsson, an emerging FX sailor, led the fleet. The competitive pair delivered a show-stopping performance, with Bobeck’s finesse at steering and Berntsson’s increasing skill from participating in top-tier regattas.

Meanwhile, USA’s Paris Henken and Helena Scutt, who created history by being the first USA duo to compete in the 49erFX at Olympic level at Rio in 2016, returned for another showdown. The duo displayed their continued aptitude for sailing on a high level, sparking formidable competition.

Results declared saw regatta podiums filled with top competitors from different divisions like the FX, 49er, Nacra 17, Women’s iQFOil and Men’s iQFOil.
