In a thrilling finale, the Howth Yacht Club's Dinghy Frostbites Spring Series reached its dramatic conclusion, determining the winners across all fleets.

In a remarkable spectacle of determination and skill, the Howth Yacht Club Dinghy Frostbites Spring Series wrapped up on the 1st of March. The series, punctuated by weather-induced hindrances, spanned fourteen races across seven weekends, testing the mettle of the participating sailors. With the close of the series, the sailors get a reprieve before the next challenge in the form of the annual Round the Island Race on the 7th of March unfolds.

In the PY Fleet, overall series leader, Daragh Sheridan captured two race victories, cementing his position at the top. Cormac Farrelly’s Melges 15 held its second place overall with consistent performances, followed by Stephen Quinn and Sarah Robertson earning third places in two races. Despite the fierce competition, no single design dominated, a testament to the broad and growing class.

In the ILCA 7 Fleet, a tight competition ensued. Dan O’Connell dominated the heavy conditions, winning both races while Conor Murphy closely followed with two second-place finishes. Jack McMahon and Tom Fox secured third places in their respective races, underscoring the cutthroat battle on display. Despite the hefty wind, the battle lines were almost theatrical, with positions contested and swapped throughout the course.
