Day 4 at the illustrious 2025 Hobie 16 Open North American Championships at Pensacola Yacht Club brought not just excitement, but a fresh challenge. After three unsteady days of shifting winds, the sailing climate took a dramatic turn. As the first day of the final series unfurled, participants were met with boisterous winds and a vivacious sea state.

Participants vying for glory battled it out through four exhilarating races. The day began with strong winds blowing at 22 knots, and riders faced significant waves making the competition more gripping. As the day unfolded, the wind’s intensity tapered, but most contestants described the first three races as breezy. By the fourth race, the wind fell to a gentle 8-10 knots.

Meanwhile, the exhilarating silver fleet competition was headed by Xander Wessels and Kyler Wessels from the USA. They were tailed by Brad Davis and Erik Volt from the USA in second place and Joel Hutchings and Kayla Hutchings, also from the USA, in third spot.
