The eagerly awaited 2025 Melbourne to Hobart Yacht Race presents a call for entries and a new premium partner, On Track Meals.

When it comes to sailing, few races strike the perfect balance between exhilaration, challenge, and raw natural beauty like the Melbourne to Hobart Yacht Race. As 2025 edges closer, entries have now opened for its next unforgettable iteration, inviting visionary skippers and dedicated crews to pit their race-ready boats against the wild and spectacular conditions of one of the world’s most enthralling coastal trains. Furthermore, On Track Meals, has been unveiled as the race’s new premium partner, accelerating the excitement for the event.

Tracing a thrilling course from Portsea Pier down Tasmania’s West Coast to Hobart, the 435 nautical mile race is looked upon as one of the great blue-water ocean classics. This people’s race kicks off at 1:30 pm (AEST) on 27th December and is brought alive by a diverse fleet of monohull and multihull boats.

Adding to the thrill, the blowing-away multi-hull record set by Rushour in the previous year raises the bar for achievements up for the taking. Early registrations indicate a strong competition, with stalwarts like Justin Brennan from the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria set to steer Alien, the Lidgard 36, which has five overall victories to its name.

Apart from racing, partnerships play a pivotal role in the event. On Track Meals, joining race sponsors including Grace Removals, Strait Link, National Pies and the Tasmanian Government, has been announced as the premium partner for the 2025 race. They plan to tangibly align their health products with the spirit of the Westcoaster.
