Luxury and adventure unite in Ulyssia, a maiden residential yacht project set to define the future of superyachting.

Ulyssia Residences has emboldened China’s foray into luxury shipbuilding, confirming its colossal 323-metre residential yacht Ulyssia will be constructed by China Merchants Cruise Shipbuilding (CMCS). This major development marks not only a significant stride towards Ulyssia’s 2031 maiden voyage but also sets a novel precedent in high-end seafaring.

The concept of Ulyssia originated from Espen Øino, daring to blend the colossal scale of an ocean-going passenger vessel with the exclusivity and state-of-the-art amenities typical of superyacht living. This unique project will house 122 private residences and 22 guest suites, accompanied by an ambitious array of amenities boasting a yacht club and marina, medical facilities, luxury tenders, Triton submersibles, and comprehensive wellness and exploration facilities.

The news has launched waves of excitement across the industry and beyond. Espen Øino, the visionary behind Ulyssia, spoke of his pride and anticipation as the project moves into the construction phase: ‘Ulyssia brings together proportions and technical complexity of a large ocean-going vessel with the character, privacy and refinement of a yacht. Transitioning to the construction phase is a profound moment indeed.’

Ulyssia Residences Chief Executive Alain Gruber further added that the agreement with CMCS has opened the doors to expansive innovation, technological advancement, and expertise in manufacturing, ushering the project into its next phase of development.

This announcement is a thrilling signal of a new era for superyachting and luxury living, embodying the spirit of high-end seafaring adventure. With the blueprint set for such a unique blend of size, scale, and sustainability, one thing is certain; Ulyssia will re-define the concept of maritime living.
