The Squib National Championship 2025 at Royal Torbay Yacht Club unfurled an impressive spectacle of yachting prowess and swift seafaring maneuvers on its inaugural day. 46 Squibs rushed to the water, each hoping to earn an early strike in the competition.

A practice race and the first Points Race took place, challenging the competitors with a capricious westerly wind and flat sea. Speeding towards victory, they were closely tailed by Nick Whipp and James Budd from SCYC, sailing ‘Cariad Bach’.
