Steeler Yachts Marks Yet Another Milestone, Announces the Sale of the Third Ocean Explorer 85 Yacht

The renowned Dutch shipyard, Steeler Yachts, is making waves once again. It recently unveiled the third unit from its celebrated Ocean Explorer 85 yacht series. Famed as Project 511, this 26-metre prodigy is currently being expertly crafted at the company’s Meppel facilities. The first yacht of the series, Aviso, became the flagship of Steeler Yachts upon its delivery last year. The second, Moss, embarked on sea trials in February and has received attention for its earthy green profile. Project 511 is being built on the foundations of its predecessors’ successes, but with a wider beam of 6.9 metres for an added sense of grandeur and space. Steeler Yachts promises the same CE Category A standards, with the hull being constructed of robust steel, and a superstructure made of aluminium. The design of Project 511 has been left in the capable hands of Dutch designer Edwin van der Mark. At the helm of interior design is Kitty van der Kamp whose appointment promises sophistication and elegance. The layout of this yacht is customised to the owner’s preferences, demonstrating Steeler’s comittment to personalisation and luxury. Accommodation offers four lower deck suites, including a crew cabin for two, adjacent to a dedicated utility room. Meanwhile, the main deck has been cleverly designed around a convertible wheelhouse that can be opened towards the saloon, providing a seamless flow between internal spaces. Above deck, the flybridge has been built for comfort and versatility, equipped with a full wet bar, a sports area, and a lounge area at the fore. Steeler also promises to integrate its state-of-the-art high-low flybridge windows which enable the space to be either opened or enclosed depending on the desire of those onboard. The yacht is also fitted with twin MAN engines, ensuring power and reliability, allowing for a cruising speed of eight knots and a range far exceeding 4,000 nautical miles. This third 26m Ocean Explorer 85 yacht stands as a testament to Steeler Yacht’s capacity for innovating unparalleled seafaring marvels.
