Introducing The Santasevera 52: A Taste of The Mediterranean Breeze in The Modern Cruiser Market
The sailing world is being captivated by the newest addition to the open cruiser market, the very first offering from Italian boat builder Santasevera - the innovative Santasevera 52. Maritime architect and yacht designer Francesco Guida has tailored this striking design to encapsulate a fresh vision of modern Mediterranean cruising. Featuring a short raised foredeck complemented by a sun lounge and a walkaround deck, the Santasevera 52 optimises its space by merging the saloon, cockpit, and swim platform into a single-level, expansive socialising zone.
The boat’s interior is thoughtfully designed with ample space and features three helm seats facing forward, a large starboard dinette, a port-side kitchenette, and an array of lounge furniture on the sun deck further aft. The excellent cruising capacities are further amplified by an owner’s bow cabin, which comes complete with an ensuite bathroom and a separate shower, along with a secondary guest cabin that can convert to a double. In the middle, a lounge provides extra privacy as well as a comfortable space to relax during the day.
The Santasevera 52 exhibits not just style but also performance with a set of Volvo Penta D8 600hp diesels that can be installed with IPS drives or traditional shafts, promising speeds in the mid-thirties. With a smaller 40ft model underway for 2025, it appears that the Santasevera 52 is only the beginning of Santasevera’s challenging the norms of modern cruising.
