33.8m Dubois High-Performance Sloop Silvertip Sells for Major Waves in Yachting Community

A waves of excitement has swept through the yachting community with the news of the sale of Silvertip, the 33.8m high-performance sloop yacht. Represented in-house by broker Matt Albert at Superyacht Partners, this vessel is a beacon of nautical luxury and performance.

Born of the combined genius of New Zealand-based yard Yachting Developments and esteemed Dutch design studio, Dubois Naval Architects, Silvertip is a testament to superlative yacht construction. Adding a touch of elegance and warmth, her interior was polished off by Agnes Comar,

Since Silvertip’s maiden voyage in 2002, she has been under the diligent care of a single owner. This meticulous attention led to numerous maintenance works, culminating in a significant refit completed in 2021. The result of this extensive care was a superyacht that maintained an air of ’newness’ even after nearly two decades on the water.

The deck, embellished with a sleek wrap of teak, offers both form and function. Complemented by twin helm stations, it provides easy access for crew members when handling the sail. In terms of relaxation, the deck can be set up for dining or sunbathing, with an aft section featuring sun pads leading to an easily accessible swim platform.

In terms of performance, Silvertip doesn’t just walk the walk—it sails the sail. Showcasing a triumphant track record with victories at the Millennium Cup in 2009 and 2012, she owes her impeccable performance to her carbon-fibre masts and a potent 300hp Lugger diesel engine, boasting a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. When under sail, her speeds reach even much higher levels, ensuring she’s just as impressive on the open sea as she is in port.
