Dutch Yard Moonen Yachts Celebrate Milestone with Ninth 122 Martinique Model, YN207, Entering Outfitting Stage
Moonen Yachts, a highly respected Dutch yard, continues to make waves in the yacht-making industry with the joining of the hull and superstructure on its ninth 122 Martinique model – YN207. This significant milestone marks a new phase for the 37.4-metre build, pushing it one step further into the realms of the sea.
The grand moment was celebrated at a ceremony hosted by Moonen’s facilities, nestled in North Brabant in the serene southern part of the Netherlands. The pairing of the hull and superstructure indicates the vessel’s move into the outfitting phase. This important stage involves the installation of all the technical systems, along with the distinctive interior design elements, before the yacht moves into the final commissioning and sea trial phase. The build’s delivery, eagerly awaited, is scheduled for January 2027.
The new-build sparked intrigue only three months ago when Moonen confirmed its sale to American owners. Matthew Stone and Richard Gray, Moonen’s dedicated global sales representatives, stood for the yard in this significant deal. Meanwhile, Alex G. Clarke from the esteemed Denison Yachting, deftly introduced the buyer.
The emblematic exterior design of the yacht is masterly crafted by René Van Der Velden, while Diana Yacht Design is responsible for the completion of the naval architecture. This exclusive unit will be the second in the series to showcase an interior by Vripack, a design that promises to deliver a serene and light-filled environment, as per the yard’s vision. This yacht is expected to include several custom additions, including a Jacuzzi on the sundeck and a full-beam owner’s suite with forward-facing windows, delivering a unique connection to the sea.
It’s clear as to why the Martinique model is hugely popular amongst yacht enthusiasts, with its flexible layouts and luxurious arrangements. The king of the seas, YN207, is set to join its series sister, the seventh unit ‘Ad Astra,’ delivered in October of the previous year, making for a family of truly grand, marine automobiles.
