Experience the Thrill of Beaconing Waves: New 25m Sportfish Yacht Coming to Life at Weaver Boatworks

Published: 30 May 2026
The esteemed American shipyard, Weaver Boatworks, is crafting another marvel - a 24.5-metre sportfish yacht, set to enhance the passions of seafarers.

Renowned for making tangible the nautical dreams of seafaring enthusiasts, Weaver Boatworks has embarked on another adventure. This time, the talented artisans are shaping a fully-grown beauty, a compelling 24.5-metre sportfish yacht. Set in the heart of Maryland, the project seizes the essence of all the six preceding units from the series that first hit the water back in 2008.

Based on the yard’s flagship design elements, the new build will sport a planing modified deep V hull, a tumblehome transom, flared bow and hard chines, reflecting a striking silhouette on water. Using a perfect blend of wood and epoxy, this premium yacht is being crafted from design blueprints by the late naval architect, Donald L. Blount. The blend of strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal promise nothing short of a pristine piece of craftsmanship.

Appropriately armed for its challenges, the architectural marvel will bear a robust 6.5-metre beam and an impressive volume of 78GT. An unparalleled horsepower will be delivered through twin MTU 16V2000M96 engines, ensuring a swift and stable journey across the seaward expanses.

While the shipyard is known for its iconic 29.6-metre 18 Reeler, delivered in 2019 as a unique custom project, the upcoming sportfish yacht is eagerly anticipated by the maritime community and is expected to set sail in 2028. A testament to the yard’s commitment to excellence, Weaver Boatworks has, to date, successfully delivered nine yachts surpassing the 24-metre mark, constantly raising the bar for marine craftsmanship.
