Codecasa Unveils the Debut of Its First 57m Superyacht, 'Legacy 4'

Proving once again their mastery over the seas, Italian shipyard Codecasa has made a notable splash with the unveiling of ‘Legacy 4’. The first of the Codecasa 57 series, fondly referred to as hull F81 during construction, this vessel began her journey towards the horizon at a private ceremony hosted by the Codecasa Ugo Shipyards based in Viareggio.

Despite its grand stature of 56.8 meters, little was previously known about the construction of this vessel which commenced in December 2023. It was revealed that Legacy 4 would encompass a sturdy steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, meticulously crafted in line with Lloyd’s Register classification standards.

Legacy 4 is endowed with an impressive accommodation repertoire, flaunting an owner’s suite, five guest cabins, a dedicated captain’s cabin and six twin cabins for the crew. Ensuring accessibility and a seamless connect, an in-built elevator will link all decks.

The mighty engine? Legacy 4 rumbles on twin 2,375hp Caterpillar engines. This nautical powerhouse is predicted to hit maximum speeds of 17 knots at light displacement, with a range of a whopping 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. While several aspects of this seaworthy marvel remain a closely guarded secret, there is no denying the promise of luxury and performance that Legacy 4 carries within its hull.

Legacy 4 is the fruit of a comprehensive team effort, with construction starting at the shipyard’s facilities in Pisa before the vessel was strategically transported to Viareggio. The shipyard rightfully praised the relentless hard work, unwavering passion, dedication and professional brilliance of their entire team.

As the shipyard maps out its future with now four yachts under construction, including the seventh iteration of its Codecasa 43 yacht model due for delivery in spring 2028, the launch of Legacy 4 stands as a testament to Codecasa’s commitment to delivering sheer perfection on the waves.
