Damen Yachting Announces Sale of Yet Another Amels 80 Superyacht Set for Spring 2028 Delivery

Damen Yachting is riding the waves of success with the sale of its latest Amels 80 yacht. The Dutch shipyard announced the sale of the vessel, which is currently under construction and set for a spring 2028 delivery. Collaboration with Burgess, an industry-leading broker, showcases the global success of the innovative design of the Amels 80 series.

The Amels 80 series sports a strong, masculine design from Espen Øino. Recognised as a veteran in his field, Øino’s designs are renowned world over. The fresh sale features a custom, innovative interior by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. One of the standout design elements is the commodious 200-square-metre sundeck, touted as one of the largest in its class. A unique 6.5-metre glass-bottomed swimming pool is located on the main deck, providing natural light filtering down into the beach club below.

Guest hospitality will be top-notch on the Amels 80, with accommodation catering for up to 14 guests across seven well-appointed cabins. There will be more customisations, though specifics remain under wraps.

Speaking on the sale, Jan van Hogerwou, the yard’s North America sales director expressed delight, “The Amels 80 has proven to be a prestigious design. Working alongside Burgess accentuates our shared commitment to delivering world-class yachts and service to our clients.”

The Amels 80 will deliver a maximum speed of 16.5 knots, courtesy of advanced hybrid propulsion. Other key specs include a 12.5-metre beam and a volume of 2,175GT.
