Historic 72-Meter Superyacht Argosy Undertakes a Three-Year Overhaul Journey at Renowned Dutch Shipyard Feadship
The historic 71.5-metre classic superyacht Argosy has been ushered to a distinguished new chapter in her journey. The vessel made its way to Feadship’s renowned facility in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, for a grand, three-year rebuild project. The redelivery has been scheduled for September 2028, and is eagerly awaited by maritime enthusiasts around the globe.
The extraordinary blend of heritage and design in Argosy’s architecture makes her rebuild a highly anticipated event. Her classic blueprint was devised by the New York studio Cox & Stevens and briefly entrusted to Italian designer Luca Dini for its interiors and restoration before the project was brought to a halt. Eventually, Argosy was auctioned in 2021.
The current owner, represented by Anton Foord at Ocean Independence, plans to restore the yacht to its full glory, with the esteemed brokerage firm also supervising the technical aspects. As of her last sailing, Argosy flaunted five en suite cabins, accompanied by accommodation for 17 crew members, as well as stores and a galley. However, the full scope of the new restoration project remains a secret, but undoubtedly many eyes will be following the project with interest.
