Escapade, the Jewel of Fitzroy Yachts, Changes Hands in an In-House Deal
Escapade, the 37.5-meter sailing yacht constructed with precision and skill by the renowned Fitzroy Yachts in New Zealand, has been sold. The deal was an exclusive affair, involving Will Bishop and Matt Albert from Superyacht Partners. Delivered in 2014, Escapade is an exquisite long-range cruising yacht, embodying high performance and elegance.
The yacht’s all-British design features an exterior crafted by the esteemed Dubois Naval Architects, with an interior styled by Design Unlimited. Escapade’s previous owner kept her in immaculate condition, which played a significant role in upholding her allure in the market. The yacht underwent a comprehensive refit and completed her Lloyd’s 10-year survey in 2024-2025, strengthening her appeal and usability.
Amenities on the yacht’s vast exterior, including a jacuzzi, large sunpads, and an exercise bike that grandly emerges through a flush deck hatch offer a unique and indulgent experience for the guests aboard. Guests can enjoy the deck saloon boasting large double-glazed windows for awe-inspiring panoramic views and a suave lounge and bar.
Thanks to an impressive rig that stretches 50 meters above the waterline, Escapade stands tall in the water. She’s powered by a singular Caterpillar engine which allows for a cruising speed of nine knots and a remarkable range of up to 3,900 nautical miles. This sailing gem, Escapade, was last asking €13,750,000.
