Project Zurich Splashes into Scene: Damen Yachting's Third Amels 80 Superyacht Sets Sail

Published: 03 Mar 2026
Project Zurich, the third unit in the Amels 80 series by Damen Yachting, has hit the water, bringing a wave of unique features that make her stand out in the luxury yachting arena.

Dutch shipyard Damen Yachting has introduced the third of its prestigious Amels 80 series, dubbed Project Zurich. This 80-meter marvel has taken her maiden voyage from the yard’s secondary construction facility at Vlissingen-East. She will now proceed to the Damen Yachting headquarters in Vlissingen City to receive the finishing outfitting touches, with delivery expected later in the year.

Project Zurich, which was sold just months after its initial debut in March 2022, boasts a series of impressive and unique features, ensuring a distinguished position alongside her two sister yachts. The second unit of the series, the dolphin-blue hued Netto II, took her plunge two weeks prior to Project Zurich. The inaugural yacht of the series, Pangea, was successfully delivered last year.

Project Zurich outshines with a bright and custom interior design, a stark and refreshing contrast from the Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design themes of the first two hulls. She will accommodate up to 14 guests alongside her 21 crew members, providing ample space for recreational gets and tender storage areas. Delivering such grandeur requires precision and focus from all parties involved, as expressed by Sander Peeters, project manager at Damen Yachting.

Amid the high-stakes orchestration of large-scale yachting projects, it was reported that Damen Yachting is currently juggling eight yachts that are either on order or under active construction, five of which belong to the Amels 80 series.
