Cantieri di Pisa’s Custom Division Launches Construction of the First 40-Meter Yacht since its 2021 Acquisition
The creation of a 40-metre motor yacht marks a significant milestone for the newly formed custom division of Cantieri di Pisa since the shipyard’s 2021 acquisition. This is the first 30-metre-plus yacht to commence construction under Enrico Gennasio’s ownership, with the delivery expected in February 2027.
Innovative technology plays a big role in the development of the yacht. The build will implement “advanced vacuum technology” to reduce tonnage, and lower the centre of gravity, thereby facilitating superior propulsion efficiency. This leading-edge engineering is thanks due to a collaboration between Studio Sa.Ma.Re Design, led by Francesco Samarelli, Antonio Luxardo, and Optima Design, Luxardo’s firm located in La Spezia.
The yacht doesn’t stop impressing there. Its features further include a Jacuzzi, a spacious beach club, and two lateral-opening terraces, along with a garage for easy-launching waverunners and a 6.5-metre tender. Maintaining convenience for long-range cruising, the new build is fitted with a well-stocked galley, pantry areas on all decks, sizable refrigerator and freezer spaces, and a high-capacity laundry.
A performance-driven propulsion system supports a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, providing a range of 2,000 nautical miles.
Cantieri di Pisa confirmed last year that it is forward-bent on renovating and expanding its headquarters in Pisa. It is part of a concerted effort to give a new life to the brand.
