Thrills and Solidarity Unfurl at Brindisi's Nastro Rosa Tour 2025 Regatta

The second day of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2025, held in the stunning Brindisi basin, offered up an adrenaline-filled spectacle of sailing competing. WASZP and WING classes lock-horns under the area’s unique wind conditions, performing deft tacks and evolutions remarkable even to seasoned spectators. Drama was certainly not in short supply, drawing a hefty audience from both the city’s residents and a legion of tourists.

Yet, the day transcended thrilling competition. A somber hush fell on the regatta village, cultural events and award ceremonies put on hold. The tragic and untimely death of Brigadier Chief Carlo Legrottaglie, occurring just a few kilometers from Brindisi, had shaken the athletes and organizers. A message of deep empathy and support was extended to the family of the soldier via the LED walls throughout the site and official social media channels, virtually enveloping the entire Defense family in a tangible camaraderie.
