BROC Gathers in Bermuda to Strategically Plan for Their Blockbuster 100th Anniversary Celebration

The Bermuda Race, a marquee event in the global sailing calendar, is turning a century old. In preparation for the grand celebration, the Bermuda Race Organising Committee (BROC) has held its annual meeting at the RBYC in Hamilton. This gathering served up a vibrant mixture of face-to-face and virtual brainstorming sessions, packed with energy and anticipation for the forthcoming anniversary.

“The Bermuda Race is always an extraordinary spectacle,” enthused Race Chair, Andrew Kallfelz. “We are amplifying that resonance in 2026 to mark a century of partnership and camaraderie embodying the quintessence of yacht racing. Every BROC member came equipped with brilliant ideas and spirited fervour to make this race a crowd-puller for posterity.”

As we sail towards the end of 2025, anticipation for the next Bermuda Race is heightening. The formidable fleet is now over 100 strong. Alongside the illustrious yachts, there is a mix of family and community-based teams. Registration is now open and set to increase from December 19, prompting enthusiasts to secure their spots early.
