Bering Yachts Breaks Ground on Its Flagship B165 Explorer Yacht, Ushering in an Era of Luxury and Exploration
Renowned Turkish shipyard Bering Yachts is embarking on an exciting voyage of ingenuity as they lay the keel for the first yacht in its flagship 49.4-metre B165 explorer series. This follows the signing of the yacht contract back in January, where Aberton Yachts played a vital role in representing the owner. This monumental yacht, standing as the boldest offering from their new Superyacht division, promises to deliver an impressive 499 Gross Tonnage across its five-deck layout and is expected to exude a grandeur far beyond its actual length.
The stylistic blueprint of the yacht is the result of a noteworthy collaboration with Swiss studio Valentin Design for exterior style, Aberton Yachts for general arrangement, and Turkish studio Eureka Yachts for engineering. A pertinent part of the construction ceremony was placing a coin in the yacht’s keel, a customary tradition highlighting the merging of the old with the new.
The B165’s breathtaking architecture offers equally impressive highlights on board like the bridge deck. A beacon of relaxation and entertainment, it comes with an indoor-outdoor lounge, sit-up bar, open-air cinema with its own firepit, and a private crow’s nest lookout presenting a captivating 360-degree panorama from the hardtop. Balancing performance with comfort, the yacht will be powered by twin 1,300 horsepower Caterpillar engines, ensuring a cruising speed of 10 knots and top speed of 15 knots alongside a range of over 5,000 nautical miles at an economical speed. The yacht will also come fitted with stabilisation systems for maximum comfort both at sea and anchor. The delivery of this engineering marvel is eagerly anticipated for 2029.
