Star Diamond, the Iconic Superyacht from Below Deck, Finds a New Owner at Auction
Boathouse Auctions has successfully auctioned off the exquisite Star Diamond to a new owner. The opulent 46.9-metre Admiral Marine motor yacht was effectively represented by Cromwell Littlejohn of Northrop & Johnson, while the buyer was introduced by Denison Yachting’s Will Noftsinger.
Delivered by Admiral Marine in 1998, the Star Diamond has maintained a pristine condition, following a significant overhaul that concluded in 2024. This renovation comprised an outstanding $9 million in mechanical, structural and shipyard upgrades. The Star Diamond’s elegant interiors are crafted by Donald Starkey, with the brilliant yacht’s design under the masterful eye of Lou Codega.
Audiences may recall the Star Diamond’s remarkable performance in the second season of ‘Below Deck’, under the yacht’s previous alias, ‘Ohana’.
Flexibility is key on the Star Diamond. Her decks can easily be converted to meet the owner’s needs, turning into a gym, game room, or spa. There is also no shortage of entertaining spaces as the superyacht features a spacious open-air dining area, a U-shaped bar that seats twelve, a six-person Jacuzzi, and more.
A majestic pair of Caterpillar diesel engines powers this glorious yacht, providing a maximum speed of 18 knots and a leisurely cruising speed of 14 knots. The Star Diamond is also well-prepared for stability, thanks to her advanced Quantum zero-speed stabilisers.
Undoubtedly, the Star Diamond’s magnificent design, luxurious features, and top-notch facilities make it a prize catch in the superyacht sphere.
