Published: 11 Sep 2025
Luxury yacht manufacture, Sanlorenzo, has set the launch date for their groundbreaking 74Steel; their largest yacht to date, set to hit the waters in 2025.

The opulent world of yacht manufacturing is set to augment with the launch of Sanlorenzo’s 74Steel model in 2025. Teasing the maritime enthusiasts, Sanlorenzo unveiled the launch date for the inaugural 74Steel at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, marking it as the company’s largest venture on water till date. Akin to watching a kite make maiden contact with the sky, the waters are ready to embrace the majesty of this 74-meter phenomenon when it sets onto the seascape in the next big countdown to 2025. Sanlorenzo, the esteemed Italian shipyard, engaged in a strategic collaboration with Zuccon International Project and Francesco Paszkowski Design, charting an ambitious design for the flagship model. Presiding over a conference at Cannes, Sanlorenzo’s executive chairman Massimo Perotti confirmed the hybrid model’s intent to imbibe the energy of October’s waves for its inaugural sail. The last update about this project came in 2023, following its transfer to Sanlorenzo’s La Spezia facilities for requisite outfitting. Ahead of its digital debut, the 74Steel model hides more intriguing details in its blueprint. The yacht will feature a dedicated deck for the owner’s cabin perched above the bridge deck, while the main deck earmarks the leisure zone for guests. The main deck will encompass lounge areas and five spacious cabins. A major drawcard of the model is its expansive wellness area conceived for the relaxation of on-board guests, taking full advantage of the yacht’s substantial 13.1-metre beam. 74Steel, sold in December 2021, introduces a game-changing hybrid diesel-electric engine system. Embodying Sanlorenzo’s conscientious forward-thinking, the system is set to lower the impact of its yachts on the marine ecosystem. Expected to supersede Sanlorenzo’s existing flagship, Attila, by a notable six metres, the 74Steel’s unveiling is indeed, a waterside spectacle worth anticipating.
