British superyacht Sea Lady II was engulfed in threatening flames while docked at the renowned Port de Saint Tropez.

A stunning drama unfolded in the glamorous town of St Tropez, as the revered 41.3-metre Sea Lady II superyacht succumbed to a raging inferno. Videos from the scene depicting the yacht enshrouded in flames and towering plumes of black smoke served as an ominous testament to the severity of the disaster.

According to data from BOATPro, Sea Lady II docked at the port around 6.00pm, with the fire breaking out approximately two hours later. Initial reports suggest the fire began in the bow of the yacht before rapidly spreading to the lower decks.

The superyacht, Sea Lady II, is a gem from 1986 and the eminent flagship of British yard W.A Souter & Son with an expertly crafted exterior design by Don Shead. Among its many luxury features are a semi-circular saloon bar, al fresco dining on the aft deck, and a spacious five-cabin configuration.
