The grand 27.7m sailing yacht Strathisla, crafted by Nautor Swan, has found a new owner.

As the whispered news of a sailing giant’s sale traverses through maritime circles, The 27.7m sailing yacht Strathisla has found a new guardian. The sale was managed by Thea Shaw of Nautor Swan on behalf of the seller, with Antonis Dimitrakopoulos of Praxis Yachts representing the new keeper. The yacht was claimed three months after its market is negotiated. The Strathisla is more than just a sailing yacht; it’s a testament to unparalleled craftsmanship and luxury. Designed by the renown German Frers, she was constructed with carbon composite by the Finnish yard Nautor Swan and introduced to the open waters in 2009. It was part of the yard’s regal Swan 90 series, marking another impressive addition to its legacy. Strathisla, till its last negotiation, was valued at a significant €3,300,000. The serene beauty of Strathisla doesn’t stop at its exterior. The interiors are designed to accommodate up to eight guests in four cozy cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite, a VIP suite, and two twin cabins, all furnished with en-suite facilities. Additional accommodations are provided for a crew of four, ensuring a seamless sailing experience. The yacht doesn’t stop impressing there; its saloon burgeons with natural light, adding an airiness to the dining area, amplifying the interior comforts. Geared for both cruising and regatta setups, Strathisla features an intriguing range of features including a hydraulically managed sailing and furling package, in-boom furling, South Spars EC6 rigging, and an extensive set of North Sails sails. Organized with a semi-raised saloon configuration, Strathisla is designed to cater to short-handed sailing. It also hosts a lift keel that brings down its draft to a manageable 3 metres, paired with twin rudders, and bow and stern thrusters to aid in navigation. Tucked away in Strathisla’s hull is the powerful Volkswagen diesel engine and twin Northern Lights generators, enabling her to reach a top pace of 12.5 knots and cruise comfortably at 11 knots. Strathisla translates to a magnificently orchestrated blend of power, luxury, and design, clearly establishing why it’s a prized jewel of the maritime domain.
